Additional Product Information

Dosage & Administration

The syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1,250-lb horse at the recommended dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per lb (200mcg/kg) body weight. Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers enough paste to treat 250-lb body weight.

ZIMECTERIN is available at retailers and can be administered by a horse owner. However, it is best to consult with your veterinarian before treating your horse. Horse owners should work closely with their veterinarian to ensure continued effectiveness of their deworming programs, and selectively treat only those horses that need it.

To administer ZIMECTERIN, deposit paste on the back of the horse’s tongue, and immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing.
