Neurological disease is a broad term that can refer to a number of specific ailments or clinical signs affecting the brain, brain stem, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Depending on the specific cause, clinical signs of neurological disease may come on very acutely or gradually over time, and can often be scary to watch. Recognizing the different clinical signs and common neurological diseases can help your horse get a diagnosis and begin treatment more quickly.
